TETSU is a quiet focus blocker for iPhone. Need help? Contact ewanesun@gmail.com.
Getting started
- Read the terms and risk explanation before enabling restrictions, then allow Screen Time access when iOS asks.
- Choose distracting apps, categories, or websites in Apple's selection screen. Keep essential communication, medical, authentication, password, payment, travel, navigation and work tools available. A whole category may include tools you need; TETSU has no configurable essential-app exception list.
- First try a short session with a nonessential app in a safe setting. Check the selection and end time before starting. Active rules stay fixed inside TETSU.
- For a routine, check the selected weekdays, start/end times, displayed pinned time zone and registration status. Saving or re-enabling a schedule covering the current time may apply restrictions immediately.
Why can't I change an active session?
Your commitment is the point of TETSU. Rules that affect an active session cannot be softened through TETSU's editing controls. Make changes after the session ends.
I need to leave early
Use TETSU's Early exit process. Restrictions continue during the 15-minute waiting period. After the wait, return to TETSU and confirm; reaching zero does not automatically release the block. It covers only commitments active when requested, and later scheduled windows remain enabled. Schedule editing can remain fixed until the original window ends. A commitment reaching its normal end follows its original rules; other overlapping restrictions may remain. Actual release can be delayed by app or iOS problems.
I need urgent help
Do not wait for TETSU's countdown or a support reply in an actual emergency. Use an available system emergency-calling option, another phone/device or someone nearby to seek local emergency help. TETSU does not detect emergencies, contact responders or remotely unlock devices. Learn your device's own options and limitations beforehand; see Apple's emergency-calling guidance.
A block continues after the expected end
First check for an overlapping session or schedule and whether an early exit still needs confirmation. Open TETSU to refresh its state and read any error. If necessary, review TETSU's Screen Time permission in iOS Settings. Permission changes and app removal are controlled by iOS, and do not guarantee instant recovery of every service. Support cannot remotely clear your restrictions. Preserve necessary access through another available route before troubleshooting; in a true emergency, follow the urgent-help guidance above.
A selected app is not blocked, or a schedule did not run
Check TETSU's Screen Time authorization and schedule status first. Confirm that the app or relevant category was actually selected, the schedule is enabled, and today's day and times match your intention. A schedule keeps the time zone shown when it was saved; check that zone when traveling. If TETSU reports a setup or monitoring error, follow that message before relying on the schedule.
What are the limits in this version?
Manual sessions run for 15 minutes to 12 hours. You can configure one recurring schedule and choose its weekdays. The selection and rules remain fixed while a manual session or a scheduled occurrence is active. Resetting local data is available when rules are no longer locked; an original schedule window can keep reset unavailable after an early exit. Daily usage budgets, Apple Watch, and Mac blocking are not included.
If the problem continues, contact support with your iPhone model, iOS version, TETSU version, local time zone, expected start/end time, and what happened. State whether the phone restarted, Low Power Mode was enabled, or you changed Screen Time permission. Do not include private app selections unless needed to reproduce the issue.
Is TETSU impossible to bypass?
No. iOS controls Screen Time permission and app removal. TETSU freezes its own active rules and delays its own early-exit process; it cannot prevent every change through iOS or block your other devices.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
TETSU has no account. Its blocking features run locally after setup. The App Store, initial system setup, and external support pages may require a connection.
Privacy
Selections and focus settings stay on the device. Read the Privacy Policy for details, including what happens when you contact support.
Terms, responsibility and purchases
You choose your restrictions and are responsible for settings and conduct reasonably within your control. Blocking may fail, last longer than expected or interfere with important tasks; TETSU does not guarantee a focus result or provide medical treatment. This does not waive your statutory rights or remove the provider's legal responsibilities. Read the Terms of Use and Risk Notice.
TETSU 1.0 has no subscription, in-app purchase or exit fee. Any download price is shown by the App Store. If you paid for TETSU, consult Apple's refund instructions; eligibility depends on the transaction, territory and applicable law. Rights you may assert directly against the provider remain available.
